QuarkXPress Graphics

DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for people familiar with the page layout features of QuarkXPress and want to learn to use its drawing and graphics manipulation features. Class discussion and exercises cover --
How to draw with the bezier drawing tools, including how to control the shape of curves and add and delete points on a path,
Merging and splitting boxes,
Changing content type of boxes,
Wrapping text along a path,
Creating custom dashed and striped lines,
Converting text to a box and options for working with the box created by conversion,
Controlling the manner in which text wraps around an object, and,
Creating and editing a clipping path from within QuarkXPress,
Creating custom dashed and striped lines.
3 hours, $120 (available for Windows and Macintosh).

PREREQUISITES

A working knowledge of the page layout features of QuarkXPress 4.0.

RELATED CLASSES

QuarkXPress for an introduction to QuarkXPress concepts, tools and menus, and the page layout features of the program.
Advanced QuarkXPress to learn to use QuarkXPress more efficiently and take advantage of automating features, and explore its typographic formatting features in depth.
Quark 4.0 Update for users of QuarkXPress 3.3 who want to learn about the new features of version 4.
